However, consumer testing in these conditions does <strong>not reflect the real context that someone would typically eat or drink in<\/strong>. Consequently, findings may not truly tell us how a product will be accepted in real-life.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure style=\"color:#098470\">Researchers&nbsp;can&nbsp;mimic real-life in the lab<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-top is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.6%\">\n<p>Evaluating foods in real contexts (like a restaurant or at home) can be <strong>expensive <\/strong>and poses many <strong>logistical challenges<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sensory&nbsp;and consumer&nbsp;researchers&nbsp;are therefore&nbsp;trialling&nbsp;a number of&nbsp;strategies to set up&nbsp;more&nbsp;realistic consumption scenarios in&nbsp;a&nbsp;laboratory.&nbsp;These strategies include&nbsp;virtual reality or MR like Igloo or the HoloLens.&nbsp;Here are some other strategies:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-top is-layout-flow
