Distance Library Service staff have won the ‘Sustained Excellence in a Service Area’ award at Massey’s recent Defining Excellence Awards ceremony.<\/p>\n

The Awards programme noted that:<\/p>\n

The Distance Library Service team has provided an excellent, responsive, efficient service to all distance learners in New Zealand and around the world for more than 50 years.<\/em><\/p>\n

The current team members support staff teaching in Massey’s online learning platform Stream and meet the needs of students by fulfilling requests for physical and online resources in record time. They also function as the Library’s central contact centre and referral point for other libraries around the world.<\/em><\/p>\n

Their consistently high standards, coupled with their ability to seek out innovative changes, ensure they offer a service that runs as efficiently as possible, and they alweays rate highly in student satisfaction surveys for their knowledge and helpfulness.<\/em><\/p>\n
