Testing your general knowledge and te reo M\u0101ori at the same time.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Over the last 4 years we have been running\u00a0a competition called Kotahi te Kupu<\/em><\/strong>.
\nIn celebration of M\u0101ori Language\u00a0Week 2018, Massey University Library will be sending out clues each day of the week.<\/p>\n

Kotahi te Kupu<\/strong><\/em> will simultaneously test your general knowledge and te reo M\u0101ori. The competition will run each working day from Monday\u00a010 September until Friday 14 September.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This competition is open to one and all so nau mai haere mai. Are you up for the challenge!<\/p>\n

How to play<\/strong>
\nKotahi te Kupu,<\/em><\/strong> for those that didn’t get the opportunity to play last year, is a M\u0101ori spin on the popular 4pics1word<\/em> game where you are given 4 pictures and using the letters provided you must guess the one M\u0101ori word that each picture has in common. The dashes below the pictures give you a clue as to how many letters are in the word needed; with the NG and WH in M\u0101ori counting as one dash. We have helped you out by putting the letters in the boxes below the pictures. That’s enough clues for now!<\/p>\n

How to enter<\/strong><\/em>
\nEach day a clue for Kotahi te Kupu<\/em><\/strong> will be posted to the Library Out Loud<\/em><\/strong><\/a> blog with entry details attached.\u00a0 Each post will be up on the blog by 9am<\/strong> each morning and remain there until 8am <\/strong>the following morning and then removed from the blog. This should give you plenty of time to have a go! Be sure to play each day to give yourself more chances to win.<\/p>\n

Winners<\/strong>
\nEach day a name will be drawn from the entries. The Library’s M\u0101ori staff will then notify the winner using the contact details provided.
\nAll winners names, with the answers will be put on the Library Out Loud<\/strong><\/em> blog\u00a0the following day. This gives you an opportunity to see how well you did.<\/p>\n

Prizes<\/strong>
\nPrizes consist of book vouchers. There are prizes to be won each\u00a0day with a final prize for the overall winner.
