In the meantime, here are some trouble-shooting tips for the most common errors. If these don&#8217;t work, please contact us on <a href=\"mailto:library@massey.ac.nz\" target=\"_blank\">library@massey.ac.nz<\/a> with details of what&#8217;s happening, and we&#8217;ll look into it for you.<\/p>\n<h3>EBSCO &#8220;Application Level Exception&#8221; error message<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Often occurs when:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You are signed into your EBSCO account and interacting with folders.<\/li>\n<li>Your browser is unable to handle JavaScript.<\/li>\n<li>Your internet provider uses an accelerator or &#8220;turbo&#8221; feature, or you have installed an accelerator on your browser or computer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You can sort it by:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Often clicking on the Back button or trying again works.<\/li>\n<li>Sign out of EBSCO, clear your browser history, including cache and cookies, and restart your browser.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure your browser is up-to-date.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure your browser security settings are not blocking any JavaScript. Go to <a href=\"http:\/\/activatejavascript.org\/\">http:\/\/activatejavascript.org\/<\/a> for instructions on how to do this.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure you are not using any accelerators.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>\u200bEBSCO &#8220;A System Problem has Occurred&#8221; error message<\/h3>\n<p>Discover and other EBSCO databases appear to be having a problem timing out. If you leave a database for a few minutes and then come back and try to interact with the same search\/search results, you may be taken to\u00a0an error message or the generic EBSCHOhost database list.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Often occurs when:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Several Discover or other EBSCOhost tabs are open.<\/li>\n<li>Discover is left open, but you stop interacting with it for a few minutes or more, and then go back to it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You can sort it by:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clearing your browser history, including cache and cookies, and restarting your browser.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid using your browser&#8217;s &#8220;Back&#8221; button.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u200bIf you feel comfortable doing so, you can help the Library and EBSCO solve this problem by emailing <\/strong><a href=\"mailto:LibIT@massey.ac.nz\"><strong>LibIT@massey.ac.nz<\/strong><\/a> <strong>the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Date and time the problem occurred<\/li>\n<li>An attachment of a screenshot of your entire browser window<\/li>\n<li>An attachment of a screenshot of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thismachine.info\/\">http:\/\/www.thismachine.info\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Copy and paste the source code of the error page into the email.
