Occasionally\u00a0Google Scholar via the Library website gives an error message, usually when there is high traffic going through this route.<\/p>\n

If you come across multiple Captcha forms or \u201cunusual traffic\u201d error messages, keep refreshing\u00a0your screen and trying again.<\/p>\n

Alternatively,\u00a0try this:<\/p>\n

  1. Go directly to Google Scholar<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Click on Settings<\/li>\n
  3. Click on Library Links<\/li>\n
  4. Search for Massey University Library and save that as your home library<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Using this method,\u00a0you will see ‘Check for full text’ which directs you to a Library tab, but fewer direct-to-full-text links.<\/p>\n

    You may also like to use Discover, the search box on the Library home page<\/a>, as there is significant overlap in the articles that Discover and Google Scholar find.<\/p>\n

    This happens periodically to all universities and organisations making high use of Google Scholar via a proxy. The\u00a0only\u201cfix\u201d is to use the workarounds above and wait it out.<\/p>\n
