SDG keywords can help other researchers, policymakers, practitioners, funders, potential collaborators and a global audience to discover your research. This may also increase the citation rate, particularly if used in conjunction with open access.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ranking<\/strong>: Times Higher Education (THE) ranks universities based on their contributions to SDGs, released as the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.timeshighereducation.com\/impactrankings\" target=\"_blank\">University Impact Rankings<\/a>. Using SDG keywords highlights research that can contribute to the rankings data.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Massey\u2019s commitment<\/strong>: Massey University is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.massey.ac.nz\/about\/sustainability-at-massey\/sustainable-development-goals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">committed to the achievement<\/a> of the goals, integrating them into research, teaching, learning and sustainability strategies. SDG keywords can showcase our progress with this. See <a href=\"https:\/\/www-scopus-com.ezproxy.massey.ac.nz\/pages\/organization\/60008221\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Massey University mapping to SDGs on Scopus<\/a> (requires staff login).&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to use SDG keywords&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Choose wisely<\/strong>: Select keywords that align your research themes with the relevant SDGs.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Be strategic<\/strong>: Use the keywords in your titles, abstracts, author keywords, metadata and content to highlight your research\u2019s connection to SDGs.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Find suggested keywords<\/strong>: Look at the SDGs themselves for ideas. Some publishers may have suggested SDG keyword lists. Three comprehensive sources of SDG keywords are:&nbsp;\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/scival-com.ezproxy.massey.ac.nz\/sdg\" target=\"_blank\">SDGs in SciVal<\/a> (requires staff login). Provides word clouds and further analysis.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/elsevier.digitalcommonsdata.com\/datasets\/y2zyy9vwzy\/1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Elsevier 2023 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Mapping<\/a>. Data used for THE ranking.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sdgmapping.auckland.ac.nz\/\" target=\"_blank\">The University of Auckland SDG Keywords Mapping<\/a>.
