Organising Visits

If you’d like to bring a class to see us at Massey or if you’d like some of us to come and visit you at school then this is the page for you.

Visiting Massey at Manawatu

We have hosted a number of schools over the last few years and we are aiming to do so again from 2022 (the pandemic allowing). Previous visits have typically included:

  • A university-style lecture – either as part of a university course (if there aren’t too many of you) or a ‘bespoke’ lecture all of your own. We have a number of staff who are happy to present to you so let us know what topics you are interested in hearing about (or let us come up with something for you).
  • A tour of our lab facilities – we have a number of (small!) labs that we can show you around. Not all of them will be available all of the time but they include a psychophysiology lab, an EEG/fNIRS lab, and a general cognition lab where we can show you our mobile eyetracker in action.
  • Activities and experiments – we can usually find a bunch of enthusiastic post graduate students to help run some fun psychology-related activities with you.
  • A session on clinical or professional psychology – if we can we will find one of our clinical or professional psychologists to talk to you.

Massey Visiting You

We’re also happy to come and visit you at your school and bring some gear with us. If this interests you let us know. We can get to you if you are based somewhere in the mid to lower North Island.

Massey at Albany

Our School of Psychology at Albany in Auckland has a different set up from the School in Palmerston North. However, we have hosted visits from schools before. If you are interested in coming to Albany let us know and we will see what we can organise for you.
