How to write a clear thesis statement

A thesis statement is a succinct statement of your argument, which should directly answer the question. One good way to ensure that you give a direct answer to the question is to take the key words from the question and turn them into a statement. Your thesis statement should include your reasons for giving the answer you are giving.
Example essay question: “The Kardashians are the epitome of popular culture” (Brown, 2011, p. 15). Discuss.
