PhD writing skills workshops: Presenting your PhD research: oral presentations and conference posters

This popular series of workshops has been specially designed to support the writing development of higher research degree candidates at Massey University. The workshops are presented by learning advisors from the Centre for Learner Success who are experienced in supporting doctoral students through each stage of their writing process. In addition, there is a session facilitated by Massey University’s librarians that covers how to create and structure long documents, as well as tips on using Endnote.

Learn more about oral presentation skills in this workshop. It provides numerous hints and tips, including:

• How to maximise the impact of your slides
• Communicating clearly through voice and gesture
• Conference posters: dos, don’ts, and maybes
