StudyUp: Online workshops on avoiding plagiarism and critical reasoning

StudyUp sessions next week are as follows:
In your own words: How to avoid plagiarism (What is considered plagiarism at university level, and techniques for explaining the ideas of authors using your own words.

Critical reasoning: How to shift from description to analysis (Develop and refine your skills of polite scepticism and doubt. An introduction on how to critique other people’s arguments and strengthen your own.

- Thursday 30th July 7pm
These are half-hour online sessions. To participate, click on this link (https://connect.massey.ac.nz/studyup/) about 5 or so minutes beforehand to check that everything is working (if not then run adobe’s pre-flight check before logging in then run the sound check for Adobe Connect once you’ve logged in). If you enter as a guest (rather than logging in with your student details) can you please use your real name (first and last name), just so that we can have an accurate record of students participating.
