Make sure you have a clear purpose<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Think about why you\u2019re reading the article and what you want to get out of it<\/p>\n<p>2. Try and make predictions about what the author will say<\/p>\n<p>-From what you know about the author\/theory already think about what the author might be expected to say, how would they respond to objections?<\/p>\n<p>3. Where possible link back to what you know about the topic or related topics\/theories<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Think about possible links to your existing knowledge or experience.<\/p>\n<p>4. Try and question the author<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Can you think of any objections to what the author is saying? If so what. If not what\u2019s good about the article\/book?<\/p>\n<p>5.
