Flow within a paragraph – Recapping

Starting a sentence with words like they, this, or these can be unclear because it is not obvious what they, this, or these is referring to. So, it can be a good idea to use a recap word or phrase (that recaps the meaning of what is being referred to).
For example:
The steps to resolving the issue involve clear communication and a willingness to forgive. This process allows personnel to work effectively together.
