Create1World 2020 Competition Terms and Conditions

o             Promotion Period: The promotion will consist of one contest period (the “Promotion Period”) which commences on 18 December, 2019 at 12:01 a.m. New Zealand Standard Time (“NZST”) and ends at 9:00 p.m. NZST on June 2, 2020.

o             Eligibility: The promotion is open to all young people who are currently engaged in some form of secondary education and are currently resident in New Zealand. Employees (and their immediate household or family members) of Massey University and the New Zealand Centre for Global Studies are not eligible to participate.

o             You are welcome to submit more than one entry per person/team.

o             Your entry must meet the competition rules in order to be considered for judging.

o             Judging will occur after the competition closes on June 2, 2020 by staff members from the Massey University College of Humanities and Social Sciences. This year, there will be no ‘live’ finals – judging of initial electronic entries as submitted, will be the final judging. The winning submissions will strongly connect to the theme of creative activism and global citizenship and display high levels of creativity and originality.

o             Winner Selection: The winners will be selected by the Judging Panel on or before July 2, 2020.  Results will be announced on the Create1World Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/create1world/ as soon as possible after the judging is complete.

o             By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to these Promotion Rules and the decisions of Massey University, which are final and binding in all respects.

o             Prize Description: The prize will consist of cash awards for first, second and third place in each category. Massey University may add product prizes or other cash prizes to the prize pool at any time.  Prizes will be paid directly to individual winners – prizes may NOT be paid to schools.

o             Winner notification: Winners will be notified by email or message within three (3) business days of the announcement. If, after three reasonable attempts to contact the winners have been made, a winner is still unable to be contacted, the prize may be forfeited and a new winner determined.

o             The Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

o             Only Massey University may elect, at their discretion, to substitute a prize of greater or equal value for any given reason.

o             Massey University may change, extend or amend or cancel the competition at any time. The terms and the completion details may be subject to change.

o             Subject to ‘Use of Winners’ Details’ for the purposes specified below, any information entrants provide to the organisers will not be provided to any third party. You have the right to access and request correction of this information.

o             Use of Winners’ Details: By accepting their prize, the winner grants permission, without further compensation, to the organisers to use the prize winner’s image, name, school and biographical material in any medium of communication including but not limited to marketing or promotional purposes.
