Library Out Loud

Coming soon to Manawatū Library…

A “Digital Playspace”  – the latest addition to Massey’s eLearning and educational technology toolkit – is being prepared on level two of Manawatū Library. It will be equipped with both established and emerging technologies for teaching staff to engage with, supported by staff from the National Centre for Teaching and Learning (NCTL).

Technology available initially will include a digital table, a video wall and a range of tablet and mobile devices.  Future plans include a 3D printer and virtual reality equipment.

The space will be used by NCTL staff to work with academic staff, experimenting and building familiarity with different digital technologies so that they can be assessed and evaluated for use in teaching and learning.  The Library provides a central, accessible space for all staff to engage with the technologies being made available.
