May 17, 2022

This is your chance to explore the archival collections of Massey University.

In celebration of International Archives Week, Massey University Archives is opening its doors to all on Thursday 9 June from 10 am to 1 pm. You are warmly invited to view and explore our spaces, exhibitions and collections.

The University Archives

The University Archives has been in existence for 36 years and in that time has built up substantial collection of material, which includes records, photographs, objects, publications, plans and maps.

Our two main collections are the Massey University collection and the New Zealand Institutions collection.

The Massey University collection comprises the official archives of the University and other material around its history, its people, their research and teaching activities, and life on campus.

The New Zealand Institutions collection is a fast-growing collection of material from New Zealand businesses and community, cultural and professional organisations, and individuals. This collection includes our Dairy Records Archive, which is the largest collection of business records associated with the dairy industry in New Zealand.

These collections are retained for their research and teaching value and contain a wealth of historical, genealogical, business and technological information.

Please come and join us on 9 June and learn more about what we do!

We are located on the Manawatū campus in the Practical Teaching Complex (entrance on Albany Drive) and open to everyone on weekdays from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.
