Do you want your custom folders from old Discover?

April 1, 2025

Discover was upgraded in January 2025, and some custom folders didn’t transfer across. If you would like them back, you can export them from “old” Discover and then build them again in “new” Discover. Please follow these steps:

  1. Go to https://ezproxy.massey.ac.nz/login?url=https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?authtype=sso&custid=s3027306&groupid=main&profile=eds3.
  2. Click on Folders in the blue navigation bar at the top right.
  3. Scrolling down to the bottom of the folders sidebar on the left, click on My Custom or Shared By to see your folders.
  4. Click on a folder’s name to open it.
  5. Click on an Articles or eBooks subfolder.
  6. Look to the right side of your screen, and click on Export.
  7. In the Export Manager window that opens, select Download CSV.
  8. Click the Save button.
  9. An excel spreadsheet will download to the designated downloads folder on your computer. We suggest you rename the spreadsheet to match your custom folder’s name and save it in a safe place.
  10. Repeat this process for all the My Custom and Shared By Articles and eBooks folders and subfolders that you want to save.
  11. Go to https://research.ebsco.com/c/4egzpd/?acr_values=sso
  12. From the data in your spreadsheet, recreate your folders structure and contents in the new interface, using Projects under My dashboard.
