Massey Research Online – now contains over 5000 items
August 21, 2014
Massey Research Online (MRO) has passed the 5000 item mark this month. This means that there are over 5000 full text, Open Access items of high quality Massey University research available to the public via the Web. Making research available in this way removes price barriers, allowing everyone access to publicly funded research. Work in Massey Research Online also has a greater reach as it is indexed by Google, and aggregated by NZResearch.
While the content is predominantly theses at this stage (~1850 Masters, ~2600 Doctoral), the addition of published research outputs is increasing. Recently added outputs include not only articles but also our first creative work. Here’s a break down of recently added research outputs for the month of August, 2014.
From Associate Professor Ross Flett, School of Psychology
Flett, R. (2012). ‘To tell or not to tell?’ Managing a concealable identity in the workplace. Vulnerable Groups and Inclusion. 3, 1-9
From Professor Marlena Kruger, College of Health
From Professor Margaret Walshaw, Institute of Education
Knowledge construction in mathematics education. Mathematics Education Research Journal. 20(1), 1-2
Responding to calls for greater accountability. Mathematics Education Research Journal. 19(1), 1-2
And finally our Creative Work,
From Associate Professor Kingsley Baird, College of Creative Arts
The Cloak of Peace – Te Korowai Rangimarie
A simplified process of getting outputs into Massey Research Online is slowly being disseminated throughout the university community. Stay tuned for more on this exciting project!
