Please join us as we celebrate the start of our plan to make Massey University’s rare and unique items available digitally for all to use and enjoy. As part of this initiative, a high resolution digital copy has recently been made of the Library’s medieval (15th century) French manuscript. You will have the opportunity to view both the original document and some of the impressive digital images. The manuscript contains the anonymous glossed version of Le Livre de Boece de Consolacion, a French translation of the Consolatio Philosophiae of Boethius. Due to its age and value the original is rarely displayed or handled. Professor Glynnis Cropp, who worked with the manuscript for many years and who published in 2006 a critical edition...Read more
