Library Out Loud

Thank you for your feedback about furniture at Turitea Library – this will inform what we do on part of Level 1 over the summer.

Thank you also for all your additional suggestions about what the Turitea Library needs. Here are some responses:

• Hot water – this is available at the Library cafe during opening hours. There is a charge of 20 cents per cup, i.e. for the disposable cup itself. BYO cup and there is no charge. Sorry, there is currently no suitable place in the Library for hot water.
• There are microwaves available at Te Waiora Christian Centre. Sorry, there is no suitable place in the Library for these either.
• ATMS  – there are three on  campus. There is a BNZ ATM near the entrance to the MUSA lounge, a Westpac one near the entrance to the Registry building, and an ANZ one in the student centre.
• Security cameras – yes, we have these, and are working on more and better. We are taking security concerns and thefts very seriously.
• Vending machines that take eftpos cards – this is being investigated.
• ‘Better internet’– improved wifi should be in place for 2014, assuming this is what you mean.
• You want quiet space to be quiet and we will renew efforts on this 2014.
• Feedback about the Library cafe have been passed onto Alliance catering.
