Congratulations to Wellington Library staff, with two well-deserved awards heading their way this week…

At the Massey Staff Conference in Wellington, Library staff won the Service Excellence Award for notable improvements in work practices or service experience.

And at the 2015 Wellington Architecture Awards, Athfield Architects received an award in the Education category for the refurbishment of Massey University Wellington Library. The NZ Institute of Architects said: “Reading rooms and individual and group study areas were inserted into the existing 1950s building. The boldly coloured, open and flexible structure provides a ‘youthful as well as an elegant space that is enjoyable to inhabit’, the awards jury said”.

Well done Wellington!
