Events showcasing Open Access Week @ Massey University

October 12, 2018

Open Access Week @ Massey University runs from October 22nd to 28th  2018 and features podcasts, a webinar and a movie screening on the Manawatū campus.

Now in its 10th year, Open Access Week is a global event, focused on the academic and research community, that aims to provide information about the potential benefits of Open Access.

Events include:

  • The SOAP (Scholarly and Open Access Publishing) series available via this blog. The podcasts feature Bruce White (Open Access and Copyright Advisor) Amanda Curnow (Digital Asset Management Librarian) and Catherine Woeber (Subject Librarian) in conversation. Topics include the history of journal publishing through the big deals of bundled journals to green and gold open access and recent developments.
  • Maximising your research advantage with Massey Research Online (MRO) Tuesday 23rd October at 12.30pm. This 15-minute lunchtime webinar is part of the  #ResearcherToolboxOnline series. To register and find out more check the event details.
  • A screening of Paywall: The business of scholarship  in the Manawatū Campus Library at 12:00 noon on Wednesday 24th October.
